Chicho continued to feed us information about our planned walk. He proceeded to provide us with a list of hotels that we could contact at each of the towns I outlined earlier. He gave us some idea on what to expect on hotel and meal prices and what it typically includes. He suggested dining places, such as a pulperia in the town of Melide, which specializes on an Octopus delicacy called “Pulpo a la gallega”. At this point, both Fr.Frankie and I are getting excited about the trip with all the information that he had been feeding us. On his last note, Chicho shared with us that a filipino priest by the name of Fr. Manny Domingo now serves in the St James Cathedral and can help in having Fr. Mabanta co-officiate mass at the Cathedral. Chicho indicated that their fraternity helped Fr. Domingo to get posted in Compostela.
